Why Your Donation Matters

An estimated 80% of donated clothing ends up shipped overseas or dumped in landfills. The Don8 Project changes that by giving every item multiple chances to be re-worn — and by tracking every pound saved from the landfill.

How It Works

1. Donate What You No Longer Need

Bring clean, wearable clothing, shoes, and accessories.

What We Accept:

Wearable clothing & shoes (no holes, stains, or heavy pilling)
Purses, jewelry, and accessories
Small knick-knacks in good condition

We kindly ask that unwearable or heavily damaged items are not donated at this time due to limited space.

2. We Weigh & Track It

We track every pound donated — and every pound kept out of the landfill.

3. We Keep Clothing in Motion

Wearable items move through our Online Shop, Store, and Quarterly WEARhouse Sales to keep them in use as long as possible.
Items that are wearable but don’t sell are given free through our partnership with Bundles of Kindness to clothe people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.

4. What About Unwearable Items Received?

Many unwearable items are set aside for future upcycling/downcycling, allowing them to be transformed into new materials instead of becoming waste.
