What If The Clothes In Your Closet Could Change The World?
Two moms.
Too much waste.
One big idea.
Project ReWear
Our Story
Hi there! So happy you’re here, we are Kim and Linda — two moms who saw the waste, felt the urgency, and decided to act.
We created Project ReWear to rescue quality clothing before it's lost to landfills, and to offer everyone a better way to shop — one that’s affordable, stylish, and good for our planet.
Our store is where secondhand becomes first choice. Where pounds of clothing are saved, not discarded. Where every purchase is a quiet act of rebellion against fast fashion.
We’re not just curating clothes. We’re shifting habits. We’re helping people help the planet.
Join us in being part of the solution and choose to Rewear!

The Problem
Every second, a garbage truck’s worth of clothing is dumped. That adds up to 92 million tons of textile waste each year — much of it barely worn, much of it donated but never reused. Instead, it’s burned, landfilled, or shipped to places like Ghana, where over 15 million garments flood markets weekly, choking ecosystems and economies.
We couldn’t look away. So we built something better.
The Solution
We make rewearing easy, stylish, affordable, and impactful — for everyone!
Here’s how it works:
-
We rescue overlooked clothing from thrift stores — the last stop before its sent to landfills, incinerated or sent overseas
-
We curate every piece for quality, season, and style — making secondhand always the best choice
-
We weigh every item — and track the pounds you save.
-
We educate through experience — showing what really happens to donated clothes and why it matters.
-
We build community — through our Give + Take Rack, #ProjectWeCare campaigns, and in-store conversations that spark change.
Because when better options are this easy, helping the planet becomes second nature.

Founder Kimberly Lau
The Landfill Project
We have a passion for saving clothing from ending up in our landfills. Every second, the equivalent of a garbage truck full of clothing is dumped into a landfill. We offer a solution to this problem by selling gently used pre-loved clothing, curated by our Founder, Kimberly Lau, in our Thousand Oaks, CA store.
