Our #LAStrong Photo Shoot: #WeAreAllInThisTogether

ree

Last week Team Project ReWear gathered to do our most important photo shoot yet. Having been in deep thought about how we could help the SoCal wildfire victims, we had decided on a t-shirt with artwork inspired by the photo of the retro blue VW camper van that had miraculously survived the Palisades fire untouched, quickly going viral and becoming a beacon of hope for LA. Featuring the community slogan, “LA Strong” as well as “WeAreAllInThisTogether” - because we are - high quality, preloved t-shirts were printed and ready to be photographed. 100% of the profits from the sale of each t-shirt will be donated to California Community Foundation - providing direct aid to fire victims, Pasadena Humane – caring for displaced, injured, or lost animals, and LAFD Foundation Emergency Wildfire Fund – honoring our heroes, the firefighters.

Meeting at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn, our models - consisting of our ambassadors, friends, and family - were all passionate to lend their time to support those in-need, and really happy to wear a cool t-shirt that had been designed to make a difference. The number of people who showed up to be photographed was a telling sign of the genuine feeling of needing to help our neighbors, and everyone came in really good spirits authentically wanting to contribute.

Eco couturier, Deborah Lindquist, arrived with four unique denim jackets featuring the t-shirt artwork on the backs as part of her collaboration with Project ReWear, which upcycles and gives new life to discarded denim jackets. Being the rockstar that she is, she was happy to pose for the camera with her husband, John, and further lend her support.

Our rescue dog ambassador, Pickle, arrived for her starring role and was immediately showered with love by our ambassadors, Kaydance, Jonny, Tianna, and Hudson. She posed perfectly, modelling her one-of-a-kind dog t-shirt - more to come on our #LAStrong dog wear soon - and soaked up all the attention she was getting.

After the shoot we left tired, but really grateful to be a part of something so very important. It will take LA years to heal, recover, and rebuild from the tragedy of the wildfires that consumed the city from west to east, and our fundraising campaign will be ongoing. We hope you will join us, buy a t-shirt - or one for everyone in your family - and support the victims, because we are #LAStrong and #WeAreAllInThisTogether.
