Spectrum News 1 Spotlights #LAStrong In Live Report From Project ReWear

On Friday, February 26th, Spectrum News 1 reporter and Project ReWear supporter, Sarah Pilla, came to our Thousand Oaks boutique to do a live story on our #LAStrong clothing collection and interview our Founder, Kimberly Lau. To make it more interactive and share a behind-the-scenes moment with viewers, eco fashion designer and collaborator, Deborah Lindquist, was there to illustrate how she upcycles thrift store bought denim jackets, and customizes them by attaching an #LAStrong t-shirt to the back of the jacket. She also showed us a cool cutting and crocheting technique to make our t-shirt sleeves unique and fun. If you haven’t gotten your own #LAStrong tee or denim jacket yet, you can click here to buy one. 100% of proceeds will benefit California Community Foundation, Pasadena Humane, and LAFD Foundation Emergency Wildfire Fund.
