Last month we gathered with six of Project ReWear’s Ambassadors who came out to model cozy layers and special occasion outfits perfect for colder weather and the holiday season. Each child had attended a fitting with our founder, Kim, before the photo shoot and been given the chance to comment on what they would want to wear.
Meeting in the stunning Villa at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn, Jonny, Kaydance, Tianna, Parker, Hudson, and Ariella arrived with parents or guardians, and the fun began! Kim and Project ReWear’s store director, Anne, were setting up the wardrobe, while our photographer, Emily, chose exterior shot locations and began the shoot. The kids were all full of joy and loved their cozy layer looks, each getting into position ready for their turn in front of the camera. Everything was running like clockwork and we were ahead of time, so off we all raced to the Stonehaus, to capture an epic group shot of them sitting on an autumnal bale of hay, surrounded by pumpkins.
Back at the Villa, Anne was busy creating a festive backdrop for the special occasion shoot, complete with a Christmas tree, wrapped gifts, and Poinsettias, and no-one would have known that it was only the beginning of November. Our Ambassadors quickly changed into their party looks, and it felt like stepping into a fun Christmas party, surrounded by beautifully dressed and happy kids.
As usual, they all modeled impeccably, thrilled to be there and to have fun together. There comes a point in every shoot though, where they might appreciate a little treat. For our last shoot, it came in the form of candy, but on this occasion, we got a little more creative! Anna, who produces all of our photo shoots, had recently adopted a little pup, called Pickle, who was abandoned in a crate on the streets of DTLA without food or water for days. Now living her best life in Westlake Village and being cuter than cute, Anna surprised the kids by bringing her to our photo shoot to have her photo taken with them. The kids were overjoyed to see her, and each excitedly lined up asking if they could hold her for a photo. Of course, being a super sweetheart who’s beyond cuddly and affectionate, and under the watchful eye of her Mom, Pickle was happy to oblige. Her presence brought a little extra magic to an already wonderful shoot, and Kim announced her new role as the rescue pup Ambassador for Project ReWear. More on Pickle to come . . .
